Strawberry tree

In Antiquity, the strawberry tree was associated with immortality, while more recently some have described it as a “miracle tree”. It is able to grow where others cannot. In this way, it actively helps to regenerate land with very restrictive living conditions. It restores soil balance and biodiversity, namely through its specific tolerance to certain pollutants. In fact, it has been proven that the strawberry tree has the ability to accumulate arsenic in its roots without being compromised. Therefore, this tree helps to stabilize the soil and protect it against erosion through its fast-developing roots, while eliminating surrounding toxins. Another unique feature is its small, round berries covered in tiny conical bumps which are known as strawberry tree fruit.
