The power of plants
The argan tree grows exclusively in the southwestern region of Morocco. Standing at 5-10m in height, it is incredibly resistant and able to thrive in conditions of extreme heat, drought and poor, arid soils. Argan oil, obtained from the seeds of the argan tree, has been produced since time immemorial in an artisanal manner in southern Morocco and is used in lamps to produce light and by Berber women for its dietary, medicinal and cosmetic virtues.
Skincare benefits of Organic argan oil
Organic argan oil, very rich in the fatty acids omega 6 and 9, is traditionally used to soften, nourish and protect the skin.
Responsible sourcing
Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a longstanding commitment at Clarins. That’s why we have always given priority to plant-based active ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. Our argan oil is organically-certified and obtained using a natural and environmentally-friendly extraction process.
