The power of plants
The apple is by far the most common fruit species in the world with around 6000 varieties. Apples have been a part of everyday life since the dawn of time. They are deeply symbolic and one of the so-called magical plants. They represent temptation in Genesis and the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Snow White. They are associated with immortality in the legend of the Garden of the Hesperides, freedom in the story of William Tell and, finally, modernity as the logo of a world-renowned company. Apples have always been valued and used in popular medicine. Rich in phytochemicals, they have a number of properties, including intense hydrating power, which helps them to quench thirst. Their strong antioxidant power has a preventative effect against certain digestive cancers. They also help to prevent cardiovascular and coronary illnesses.

Responsible sourcing
Grown in France, organic small apples are co-products from the agri-food industry. Co-products are recovered as part of an eco-friendly and sustainable approach with the aim of collecting by-products from other industries to maximize the use of natural resources rich in bioactive molecules, and of using them to develop cosmetic high-performance ingredients. Therefore, the apples that would be disposed of are recovered to produce our extract.
