The power of plants
Originating from southern Europe, water mint is a plant from wet regions which grows near ponds, streams and rivers. Widely used in antiquity and until the 18th century for its toning aromatic benefits, digestive properties and ability to treat headaches, it was then abandoned in favour of spearmint, peppermint and wild mint.
Skincare benefits of Organic water mint
In cosmetics, organic water mint extract helps to refine and define the appearance of the body contours. It also helps to stimulate collagen synthesis and boost skin firmness.
Responsible sourcing
Protecting the soil and biodiversity is a long-standing commitment at Clarins. That’s why we have always given priority to plant-based active ingredients sourced from organic agriculture, grown using sustainable farming methods that respect nature and the health of the soil. This is the case for our organic water mint grown in France and Portugal.
