Behind an unassuming, quite unremarkable appearance, agropyron hides a number of recognized phytotherapeutic and botanical properties. In the botanical field, the agropyron is notable for its powerful anchoring ability. The plant’s rhizomes are capable of rapidly colonizing new territories with these underground stems which grow parallel to the ground and, together with the plant’s roots, create a dense, extremely robust network. In traditional medicine, it is prized for its soothing, diuretic and toning benefits.
